While Terminal 3 is currently undergoing renovations to serve you even better in the future, we wanted to take a moment to acknowledge its role in connecting you to the world.

A Legacy of International Arrivals:

For many years, Terminal 3, also known as the Anna International Terminal, served as the heart of Chennai’s international arrivals. It’s where countless travellers stepped off planes, eager to explore the vibrant city and beyond. We hold onto fond memories of the happy reunions, the excited first-time visitors, and the stories exchanged within these walls.

The Future is Bright:

The decision to renovate Terminal 3 is part of Chennai Airport’s commitment to providing a world-class travel experience. The revamped terminal will be integrated with Terminal 2, creating a more spacious and efficient international gateway. We can’t wait to welcome you back to a brand new Terminal 3, equipped to handle the ever-growing stream of international travellers.

In the meantime:

While Terminal 3 is temporarily unavailable for arrivals, fret not!  Your international journey to Chennai still begins smoothly. All international arrivals are now processed through the spanking new Terminal 2.

Navigating the New Normal:

Chennai Airport is well-connected.  A covered walkway links Terminal 2 to the Domestic Terminal (Terminal 1) for those continuing their journey within India.  Similarly, you can easily access the revamped arrival facilities at Terminal 2 upon disembarking from your international flight.  Our friendly staff is always on hand to guide you if needed.
